- To expand students' vocabulary on the English literature especially on William Shakespeare, his biography and creative work
- To develop Ss' capacity of speaking, reading, listening, writing

Aids: Power Point presentation, texts for reading, video materials.

Procedure:
Greeting. Introduction.
Т. Good morning, dear children!
Ss. Good morning to you!
T. I’m glad to see you. How are you?
Ss. We are fine, thank you.
T. Who today is not in the classroom?
Ss. Answer the question.


     1.Organization of the lesson. Warm up.
The board says the date and topic of the lesson.The screen shows excerpts from the movie and cartoon in English.
T. let’s begin our lesson. Let’s define the topic of our lesson wathing the video.




2. Video preview 1-2. (Romeo and Juliette; Hamlet).

T. Please tell me what kind of works is it?
Ss. Romeo and Juliette; Hamlet
T. Yes, that's right. And who is the author of these works?
Ss. William Shakespeare.

T. Right. Today we are talking about this famous person. Open your notebooks and write today's date. (Children open their notebooks and record the number).  Please tell me what day it is?
Ss. Thursday, December 15.

T. Yes, that's right. Let's watch video film about the life of William Shakespeare. And you, while watching the video outlining the main points of the poet's life.


3.Video preview 3.( Biography Of William Shakespeare).

T. You got a little information about the life of William Shakespeare. So please tell me what you remember? Let's play "Microphone".
Ss. Answer that is most remembered from the biography of the poet.
T. Now, in your notebooks write down the words of the famous English poet. Let's see what was the creative heritage of the poet. A couple of works write down in a notebook.

4.On the projector displayed the picture with quote by William Shakespeare.

5. The work in the group.


T. Now, let's share on two teams. Give a name to their teams. For example: Champions, leaders, Kings, Victors, etc. Now give each group two of the sonnet by William Shakespeare. Your task: provide two representatives with the team for expressive reading of the sonnets.
Ss. The teams recite the sonnets.

T. Let's check how well do you remember the highlights of the life of William Shakespeare. Your task: to quickly answer questions. Who responds faster gets points for the team. ( In the form of hearts). Good luck!

6. Presentation tasks.
Team to answer questions. Write sentences with the screen in the notebook.
